Who Are We? Why Do We Call Ourselves Prevailing Word?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not". (John 1:1-5)

What does this familiar scripture really mean? In these, the latter days as knowledge of God is pouring forth, we have more of an understanding (and want to share with everyone) what we have been learning about the Word of God.

We call ourselves BELIEVERS because we are finally learning what it means to believe, and totally trust the Word of God. We are completely independent of any organized religion, and meet together simply to share with one another what we have come to know in the Word of God, and to pray for one another's needs.

Some of us are new believers in Jesus Christ, but most of us have come to freedom in Jesus Christ after frustrating experiences in denominational organizations that for one reason or another failed to meet their responsibility to feed God's starving sheep, which is the body, "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." (Acts 20:28) Religions have failed to do this because they are in the traditions of men which as God's Word says is, "...Making the Word of God of none effect through your (their) tradition..." (Mark 7:13). This is exactly what Jesus said to the Pharisees, who were the religious group of His day.

We are no longer starving sheep; rather, we are sheep who know His Voice. We are feeding on His Word and being filled.

Jesus said, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63)

We seek to share God's Word and the Good News that Jesus came to heal the sick, mend the broken-hearted and set the captives free. This body has a mutually shared vision that inspires others to enter into a true relationship with God through Jesus Christ as He reveals His call in our lives.

Our outreach mission is to take the LIGHT, the WORD, and the POWER OF GOD into the entire world to save the lost, and to empower the believer.

Our outreach vision is to be a blessed vessel used by God to pour out His Spirit upon the earth. We want to ensure the Gospel is preached and taught throughout the world, with signs and wonders of the Holy Spirit to reach and save the lost, heal the sick, deliver and set free the bound and the captive, to train, equip the church and the individual believer to the fullness of the Holy Spirit working in and through them, and to be a prophetic voice around the globe to the glory of God.

We invite you to share in the Holy Spirit, and abundant life.
